Apple Rehab Teams Up to Keep the Valley Warm  

 

 


March 16th, 2018 - Shelton, CT –  Apple Rehab recently teamed up with the Valley United Way to host a coat drive at each of its three Shelton facilities throughout the month of February. Apple Rehab Shelton Lakes (https://www.facebook.com/sheltonlakes/), Gardner Heights Health Care Center (https://www.facebook.com/gardner.he ights),  as well as Hewitt Health & Rehab (https://www.facebook.com/Hewittheal th/) served as donation centers in the month of February and collected over 75 new and gently used coats in addition to scarves, gloves and hats. Apple Rehab dropped off the coat donations to the Valley United Way on Thursday March 15th.  


Prior to starting the drive, Apple Rehab researched local charity agencies to determine the best outlet for donation. The Valley United Way agreed to assist in distribution of the donation items to those most in need in the local community through its community partnerships with. The Valley United Way (www.valleyunitedway.com) is located in Shelton and says its goal is to “improve the quality of life for people living and working in the Valley by funding programs and organizations that make a measurable difference.”
